In 1984, he graduated from Anhui Agricultural College with a bachelor's degree in agronomy. In the same year, he obtained a postgraduate degree in crop cultivation and farming from Hunan Agricultural College. After receiving his master's degree in 1987, he stayed in school and has been engaged in teaching and research. From 1993 to 1996, he studied Ph.D. in crop cultivation and farming at Hunan Agricultural University. He was a lecturer in 1989, an associate professor in 1995, a professor in 2000, and a doctoral tutor in crop cultivation and farming in 2003. | |||
