In 2002, he obtained doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska. He was appointed Associate Professor (tenured professor) of the Department of Entomology, University of Kentucky, and a chair professor of Shennong scholar, Hunan Agricultural University. He is currently a liaison officer for Chinese students and scholars in the Office of the President of the University of Kentucky and director of the Life Sciences Popularization Association. In 2003-2006, he conducted post-doctoral studies at Purdue University and Florida University. In the lastest five years, he is mainly devoted to the study of Genetic and Physiological Adaptability of Insects, mainly in three aspects: (1) Digestive Set of Neoptera Tree-eating Insects, (2) Behavioral Genomics of Termites, (3) Application of RNAi Technology in Pest Control. | |||
