School of Public Administration and Law
General Information
School of Public Administration and Law (SPAL) of HUNAU is a multi-disciplinary school with two major disciplines of public administration and law. SPAL has 63 faculty and staff members, including 50 full-time teachers, and 36 teachers are PhD holders. Among of them are 15 professors and 15 associate professors, which is 60 percent of the total faculty members. SPAL has eight full-time supervisors and one part-time doctoral supervisor, and 34 full-time and 13 part-time master supervisors. The Dean of SPAL is Professor Li Yanlin.
SPAL has one first-category discipline doctoral program of Public Administration which is key discipline of Hunan Province and covers four second-category discipline doctoral programs, six master programs and five undergraduate programs, forming a well-founded talent training system.
SPAL has two ministerial or provincial innovation teams, which are the Cultivation Team for Development of Local College and Universities Supported by State Revenue and the Innovation Team for Science and Technology of Hunan Province, and a 1515 Talents Innovation Team of HUNAU.

Scientific Research
SPAL has a key provincial research base of new rural construction of Hunan Province and the Research Center for Rural Public Management in China, which is unique and is truly influential among the nation-wide colleges and universities.
During the recent five years, SPAL has hosted 23 projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China including the key projects, general projects and youth projects. The teachers of SPAL have won five different awards, including philosophy and social science outstanding achievements awards of MOE, philosophy and social science outstanding achievements awards of Hunan Province, Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award of Hunan Province and Award of Hunan Teaching Achievement.
